Bowie

Today is an extra-special Adoption Tail because it’s about beautiful Bowie!

After being surrendered to Blue Cross in 2020, Bowie spent the better part of 3 years in and out of the shelter, with around 800 days spent with us in total.

After already having been adopted and returned twice, when Bowie was finally adopted for the 3rd time by a lovely couple in March this year, we were hopeful, yet reserved our true excitement just in case things didn’t work out for a third time.

But here we are, 4 months later, and ecstatic to announce that it seems it was indeed 3rd time lucky, and Bowie is doing very well in his forever home!

“It took a little while for Bowie to feel safe at home and for us to earn his trust. While the first month or so was a challenge for Bowie, I am so pleased to share that four months on he is well and truly settled. He loves to cuddle on our laps, enjoying a chin scratch or two and spends his days playing with his toys or lounging on the couch. We feel so lucky to give Bowie a home and he is now a treasured member of the family.”

We couldn’t be more grateful to Bowie’s new parents for taking a chance on a cat whose future had begun to look bleak, and we’re so glad that both Bowie’s and our own perseverance has paid off and Bowie will live what will hopefully be a long and happy life in his wonderful new home.
