Aro – Urgent Home Needed

❗️HELP US FIND ARO HIS HOME❗️
We know there’s a home out there for Aro, but we need all the help we can get to make sure his profile makes it to them!
Aro has been at Blue Cross for 325 days, and in all that time, he hasn’t had a single serious adoption enquiry. We’re doing our best to make his shelter experience as positive as possible, but are now becoming concerned about his quality of life the longer he is in the shelter environment.
Aro isn’t a particularly people-focused or cuddly dog, but his strengths lie in his keen intelligence. He is extremely toy and food motivated, both traits which make all sorts of training readily achievable.
It’s also easy to see Aro’s genuine love for a new challenge and his eagerness to show off a new trick.
We would so love to find Aro a human that matches his enthusiasm for dog training and is looking for a partner in crime to see what they can achieve together. If not a training enthusiast, then someone who will be able to get creative and think of lots of fun enrichment ideas for Aro to use his brain at home or on daily walks.
Aro is well-behaved when out on walks and walks beautifully on a halti. He isn’t reactive towards dogs when out and about, but has shown some conflicting behaviours when interacting with them in the shelter, so will need to be a solo dog in his new home.
He can get agitated with certain handling in some situations, so will need an experienced and confident handler in an adult-only home.
