This handsome young boy is looking for a dedicated owner!

Dan is a young boy, having not even reached his first birthday yet! He is a typical bouncy, cheeky puppy who could definitely use some work on his manners when he gets excited, though once he gets some energy out, he is really quite sweet and enjoys some quality one-on-one time with his people.

Having been in shelters since a young age, Dan hasn’t had the best start when it comes to socialisation with other dogs. Though he is capable of making friends with careful introductions, he can be quite reactive initially. Since this is such a crucial time in his development, Dan will need an owner who will be diligent and consistent with working on his socialisation and providing him with controlled, positive experiences with other dogs, and will be willing to work alongside a professional trainer to do so.

Dan will need to be the only dog in his home, and will be best suited to having older children aged 16 years + in his environment. His owner will need to be mindful of where they choose to walk him, to avoid areas that are heavily populated with dogs.

Dan has some laxity in the ligaments of his hock joints, which should resolve on their own as he grows and his joints continue to develop. This does mean that his exercise will need to be somewhat limited in the meantime, so that he isn’t doing anything too vigorous.
